The dedication of the Kawashima Peace Garden will be Saturday at Simpson Garden Park
10:45 a.m. - The Kazenodaichi Taiko Team from Bowling Green State University will welcome visitors with traditional Japanese drumming.
11 a.m. - Welcome address by Dr. Michelle Grigore, director of Bowling Green Parks and Recreation Department,
• Bowling Green's mayor Dick Edwards speaks, followed by the official ribbon cutting with the Kawashima family and the mayor, to officially open the garden.
• The Taiko Team again performs as guests visit the garden.
11:15 a.m. to noon - An open reception in the meeting room of the Simpson building.
