The Black Swamp Hosta and Daylily Society will be holding its 19th annual plant sale on May17 at Walt
Churchill’s Supermarket parking lot on 26625 N. Dixie Highway, (Ohio Route 25) in Perrysburg.
The sale will begin at 8 a.m. and run until sold out. In past years, the sell out point usually has
occurred by noon. The sale will be held rain or shine. Organizers suggest to get there early for the
best selection of hostas, daylilies, ferns, wildflowers, companion perennial plants, and more. All
plants are from the gardens of members, and are offered at very reasonable prices.
Proceeds from the sale allow the society to continue sponsorship of national display gardens at Toledo
Botanical Garden, 577 Foundation in Perrysburg, Simpson Garden Park in Bowling Green, the gardens at the
Senior Center and the VFW Hall in Perrysburg, and to provide gardening books to 16 area libraries.
Members will be on hand to answer any questions someone may have.
