|'Happy Hostas' to be featured June 23 at Toledo Botanical Gardens display|

The Black Swamp Hosta and Daylily Society is hosting an American Hosta Society accredited hosta show on June 23rd.
"Happy Hostas" will be held in the Conference Room at Toledo Botanical Garden, 5403 Elmer Street, Toledo. The show is open to the public, and a copy of the show schedule is available from Bonnie Eddy, show chair, by calling (419) 599-5795. Phil Parsons and Charles Harper are serving as co-chairs.
Entries will be received from 8:30 - 10:30 a.m. and must remain in place until 4 p.m. Judging will begin at 11 a.m. and the show will be closed.
At 1 p.m. the show will open for public viewing and remain open until 4.
For the event there will be free admission to Toledo Botanical Gardens and the show. There is also free parking.
Those attending will be able to see single mature hosta leaves in vases, mature hostas in containers, trough container gardens featuring mini hostas, and artistic floral arrangements. There will also be educational displays about hostas, and a "How to Divide a Hosta" demonstration in the afternoon with a hosta division for visitors.
Members of the BSHDS will be available to answer your questions about hostas.
The public is invited to join with the Society members for the afternoon to learn more about their favorite perennial.
