Four Seasons Garden ClubThirteen members met Monday at North Branch Nursery. Dave Sheidler and
Karen Deutschman gave a program on "The Art of Pruning."Important things to remember are safety
glasses, properly sharpened tools and gloves. Sheidler showed different kinds of pruning tools and
demonstrated how to use them.Deutschman also shared information about proper pruning of various trees and
shrubs. Roses should be trimmed in late winter.The project flower seeds were distributed. The Community
Planting Com-mittee will discuss options for the library planting.Judges have been confirmed for the
Pemberville Fair Flower Show and the schedule has been submitted for the fair book.Some members planned on
attending Wednesday’s Fostoria Garden Club program.Refreshments were served by Jane Kohlenberg and Alicia
Keller.The June meeting will be at Kathy Frederick’s to make concrete stepping stones or a small table top.
