Four Seasons Garden Club
Eleven club members and four guests met April 1 at Wood County Hospital for a tour of the roof-top gardens led by Richard Bostdorff of Bostdorff Greenhouse and Dan Baker from the hospital.
This is the only roof-top garden in Wood County and the only one at a hospital. This is the garden's fourth growing season. Planted with eight different varieties of sedum, it is expected to last a long time with minimal maintenance because there are no insect or disease pressures.
Bostdorff provided two pots of tulips which were given as prizes.
Final revisions have been made to the Pemberville Fair Flower Show schedule and will be printed for distribution. The flower show supplies have been moved to a new location.
Judy Sayen shared a catalog from Mulberry Creek Farms which has a lot of fairy garden items.
Teri Hansen and Trina Karns provided refreshments.
The May meeting will be at North Branch Nursery with the topic to be pruning or water gardens.
During the growing season, area garden clubs are encouraged to submit news and photos of their clubs for inclusion on the garden page.
If there are any questions, you can call the garden page editor at (419) 352-4611.
