PERRYSBURG – The victim of a Wednesday night shooting in the Perrysburg Heights area of Perrysburg Township is expected to recover from his injuries.
The victim, identified as Alec Castillo, 19, was reportedly taken to Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center, Toledo, following the incident, which was reported at approximately 8:15 p.m.
Perrysburg Township Deputy Police Chief Mike Gilmore confirmed this morning that, while no one has been arrested for the shooting, two people – identified as Richard Owens Jr., 47, and Damien Owens, 20, both of Perrysburg – had been taken into custody for obstructing official business while the incident was being investigated.
Castillo was reportedly found near Gloria and Broad streets and had been shot two times.
Gilmore also said that two vehicles, neither of which belonged to the victim, were towed as part of the investigation.
The incident is being termed a felonious assault and remains under investigation.
