The Wood County Republican Central Committee will meet Jan. 10 to fill the vacancy created by the resignation of Wood County Commissioner Tim Brown.
Brown was elected to the Ohio House of Representatives in the Nov. 6 election.
The committee will meet at 7 p.m. in the Junior Fair Building at the Wood County Fairgrounds.
Wood County Republican Party Chairman Matt Reger said Thursday that five people have expressed their desire to be considered for the position.
The five are Doris Herringshaw, Terry Krukemyer, Rick Ruffner, Roger Bostdorff and Bob Watrol.
