The combination of high expected turnout and a limited capacity have Fire 'N Ice coordinators urging attendees to purchase tickets early.
Seating is limited for American Red Cross in Wood County's annual fundraiser. The event is expect to sellout.
Fire 'N Ice, featuring Toledo News Now's Jerry Anderson as emcee, will take place on Feb. 15 at the Clazel, 127 N. Main St., from 7 to 11 p.m.
This annual event, sponsored by Rudolph/Libbe Inc., honors first responders and community partners while raising funds to support American Red Cross in Wood County. This year, a special presentation will highlight the commitment Red Cross has to members of the U.S. military, its veterans and their families.
"We look forward to this opportunity to thank all of our area service members and their families for their commitment to our community," said Chris Diefenthaler, director of the American Red Cross in Wood County.
The event will include entertainment by the Bourbon Street Band, dancing, a photo booth and a celebrity bartender contest featuring local firefighters.
Attendees can also participate in a wine bottle raffle, a jewelry raffle and silent auctions.
Tickets can be purchased for $25 by calling (419) 352-4575 or visiting the office at 150 Gorrell Ave. They are also available online at american.redcross.org/firenice2013.
