Bowling Green Police are investigating after reports that a registered sex offender was assisting at a
daycare in the city.
Maj. Tony Hetrick of the Bowling Green Police Division said they assisted the Ohio Adult Parole Authority
and the Wood County Sheriff’s Office May 2 in the apprehension of Justin Guck, 29, Weston.
Guck, a registered sex offender, had reportedly been assisting at Corrine’s Creative Daycare/Preschool,
303 N. Maple St.
"As I understand it, his girlfriend was hired to work there and he came and helped, and in the
helping offset the costs for his daughter," who attended the daycare, said Hetrick.
"So I would say that, yes," he was working there.
Hetrick indicated that Guck had violated his parole, but could not provide details as to how the parole
had been violated.
According to court records, Guck pleaded guilty in 2008 to one count of unlawful sexual contact with a
minor in Wood County Court of Common Pleas and was placed on three years of community control. He as
classified as a Tier II sex offender. The offense occurred while Guck had a listed address in Portage.

After a subsequent probation violation he was sentenced to 16 months in prison in February, 2010. The
Wood County Sheriff’s Office’s online sex offender registry indicates he was later released in November
of that year.
Guck was also indicted in 2013 on three counts of burglary and two counts of theft of drugs. That case is
still pending in Wood County court.
He was listed as an inmate at the Wood County jail this morning.
Hetrick said the case is active and open "and we’re working with Children’s Services on this."

Lt. Terry James of the Sheriff’s Office said Guck could face a charge of failing to register a place of
employment as part of his sex offender registration requirements, but noted the filing of such a charge
would be determined by the Wood County Prosecutor’s Office.
"I can say, as a parent, I would be very concerned that a registered sex offender would be working
at a daycare that my child attended," said Hetrick.
He added that "we’re not saying that anything inappropriate occurred with the children, but we’re
looking into it."
A telephone message left with Corrine Boston-Bressler, the operator of the daycare, was not returned at
press time.
