(Photo: Aaron Carpenter/Sentinel-Tribune) BGSU students rallied Wednesday to get the FDA to change its 1983 policy which bans gay men from giving blood. This ban was placed in efforts to prevent the spread of HIV. Today there are tests to make sure the blood is HIV-free before a patient receives it.
