NORTH BALTIMORE -Village Administrator Kathy Healy remains on paid administrative leave after being placed under that status nearly a month ago.
Healy, who has held her post since 2007, was put on paid leave Sept. 5 for undisclosed reasons.
The matter has been referred to the Wood County Prosecutor's Office.
Mayor Mike Julien said he is waiting on a reply from the prosecutor's office on a timetable for its response to the matter.
"I am waiting for a reply on how much longer we are going to be waiting while they determine what the facts may be," Julien said during Tuesday's council meeting.
No information regarding the reason the prosecutor's office is looking into the matter has been released.
Following Monday's council meeting, Julien said he placed Healy on paid administrative leave in accordance with the village's policy manual.
Julien said the protocol is for an employee to be put on paid administrative leave "pending a full understanding of the facts" in the instance of "questionable conduct."
Also at Tuesday's council meeting, members:
• Gave two raises to Chris Kirk who has been employed as village finance officer since September 2012. The first was a $1,000 raise effective to his six-month mark working for the village. The second $1,000 raise was effective to his one-year mark.
Council member Aaron Patterson praised Kirk for a "fantastic, job well done."
• Hired Kathy Rock as a part-time dispatcher.
• Heard the village has been experiencing issues with its email system. An information technology consultant is working to resolve the problem as soon as possible, Julien said.
• Approved removal of 16 hazardous trees at a cost not to exceed $8,250.
