Communities throughout Wood County will host trick or treating by costumed children this week. Following is a list of Halloween events submitted to the Sentinel-Tribune.

Bowling Green
Trick or treat is from 6:30 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday.
Students from the Bowling Green State University A Cappella Choir will be stopping by Bowling Green homes Wednesday during trick or treat hours to collect non-perishable food item donations.
All items will be donated to the BG Christian Food Pantry in order to help families in need.
Also in the city on Wednesday, children will be collecting donations as they trick or treat for UNICEF. Pick up collection boxes at the Community Center or at the Wood County District Public Library. This is sponsored by the Bowling Green Kiwanis Club.
The Monster Bash will be held Wood County Senior Center tonight from 5 to 7. This inter-generational event will have seniors and their grandchildren or great-grandchildren, between the ages of 3 and 12, dress in costume to celebrate Halloween. Visit the haunted basement: Spooky-ville, Halloween games, an open dance floor, snack bar and arts and crafts. Tickets are $5.
BGSU faculty members will perform "Trick or Treat: The Halloween Concert," a special collection of music in honor of the holiday, at 8 p.m. in Bryan Recital Hall in the Moore Musical Arts Center on campus.

Grand Rapids
Trick or treat in the village will be Wednesday from 5 to 7 p.m. The Halloween parade will be Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. starting from the parking lot next to Pisanello's Pizza. Start gathering at 7.

Lake Township
Trick or treating in the township and Millbury will be Wednesday from 6:30 to 8 p.m.
It will be held in Walbridge from 6 to 7:30 p.m.

Trick or treat in the city and township is Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m.
"Hauntings of Northwest Ohio" will be presented at the Way Public Library tonight. Sentinel-Tribune staff writer Peter Kuebeck will present a number of ghostly tales from the area, including Perrysburg and Bowling Green, at 7 p.m. in the café area. Free cider and doughnuts will be served.
Kuebeck earned his bachelor and master's degrees in history at Bowling Green State University. He has led tours and spoken on haunted sites in Wood County for the past 10 years.

Trick or treat is from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Wednesday.
Central Joint Fire District will hold its annual Halloween Costume Party Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. at the station on 13179 Mermill Road.
The costume categories are: youngest, oldest, funniest, cutest, scariest, witches, Movie/TV character and best group.
Punch and cookies will be available. This is a free event.

Stony Ridge
Trick or treat will be Wednesday from 5:30 to 6:45 p.m., with a party and costume judging at 7 at the park.

Halloween treats will be distributed Wednesday from the Wayne Public Library and Buggy Whip Bakery.
