FOSTORIA – Police are searching for a 17-year-old and an unknown accomplice who may have been involved in
a burglary and assault that led to a death overnight.
Garrett Brown, last known to reside in Findlay, is sought as a person of interest in the incident that
occurred at 218 E. Culbertson St. around 11:30 p.m. Wednesday.
Police say Caleb Barto, 19, and Janelle Mauricio, 20, were assaulted, and Mauricio later died of her
injuries after being transported to a hospital by a private vehicle.
An autopsy is planned to determine Mauricio’s cause of death.
Anyone who sees Brown is warned not to approach him, but to contact law enforcement.
