PERRYSBURG - The expected 33 jobs to be brought to Wood County by Calphalon Corporation would be settling in Perrysburg Township.
Connie Bryant, a spokesperson for Calphalon's parent company, Newell Rubbermaid, said Thursday afternoon that those jobs will be production jobs added to the current manufacturing facility located at Third and D streets.
Calphalon is also hoping to move into a 360,000 warehouse/distribution facility on Ohio 582, just east of Ohio 25. Bryant explained that the move will be part of a project to consolidate some of the several distribution centers that company has across Northwest Ohio.
An official announcement from Calphalon is expected in the next few weeks.
The move has been supported by the Ohio Tax Credit Authority which, through JobsOhio, has awarded a 45-percent, five-year Job Creation Tax Credit to the project.
