Area artists ages 16 and up will have a chance to exhibit their work in the Bowling Green State University art galleries.
Artists can bring in up to three works, and all will be exhibited.
BGSU will host the seventh annual Northwest Ohio (NoWOH) Community Art Exhibition June 21 through July 11 in the Fine Arts Center.
The show, which aims to support regional artists of all levels of experience, will open with a reception and awards presentation, from 7 to 9 p.m. on June 20. Professional arts jurors will award more than $1,000 in cash prizes and gift certificates in several categories, including a Young Artist Award (16 to 18 years of age) and Best of Show Award. Visitors can vote for the Popular Choice Award.
The Toledo Federation of Arts Societies will host a free artist workshop from 3 to 4 p.m. July 14 on "Entering Shows Using Café or Other Online Services."
Artists 16 years of age and older from Wood, Defiance, Erie, Fulton, Hancock, Henry, Lucas, Ottawa, Paulding, Sandusky, Seneca and Williams are eligible to enter. Entry fees are $15 for artists 16 to 18 years of age, and $30 for artists 19 years and older.

Volunteers are needed to help with the exhibition. Volunteering artists qualify for registration discounts.

Exhibition hours are 1 to 4 p.m. Thursday through Sunday; 6 to 8 p.m. Thursdays; 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday, June 21; closed July 4.
The NoWOH show is sponsored by The Andersons, Sea Lion Studio and other area businesses.
