MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (AP) — An Ohio company is building a plant in South Carolina that will employ 120 people.
The Ithaca Gun Company plans to spend nearly $7 million on the operation near Aynor.
Myrtle Beach Regional Economic Development Corporation president Brad Lofton says the company will hire machine operators, gunsmiths, engineers, and assemblers.
The company is known for its shotguns and the Model 1911 pistol.
It was not immediately clear when construction will begin. Mike Farrell with Ithaca says he expects production to begin next year.
