GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (AP) — A Grand Rapids-based boxed water company has opened a new bottling and distribution center in Holland, Mich.

Boxed Water is Better says the 11,000-square-foot building is nearly seven times bigger than the facility it left behind.

Boxed Water now will be able to store and distribute its current capacity, while creating opportunities to expand filling capacity in the future.

The company says its container is more sustainable than plastic bottled water, with more than 75 percent of its packaging derived from renewable resources.

Boxed Water was created in 2009.
