For the first time, the Monster Truck Throwdown "Roars" into the Wood County Fair on Aug. 2 at
7 p.m. with the raw horsepower, destruction, and thrills of monster trucks and freestyle motocross.
Those attending will see six of the nation’s top monster trucks including two-time world freestyle
champion, Avenger. Other trucks which should be on hand include Barbarian, Over Bored, and Samson.
The mechanical beasts will compete in wheelie, racing, and freestyle competitions while the freestyle
motocross riders take to the sky soaring more than 35 feet high with big moves including the back-flip.

Monster Truck Throwdown fans can also take a ride of a lifetime on a monster ride truck before and after
the show for only $5.
There will also be a pre-race pit party before the show, where fans ccan see the trucks up-close, meet
the drivers, and buy merchandise. The pit party experience is free for ticketholders. Call 419-352-0441

The Senior Fair Board decided this year to offer the Monster Truck show in lieu of the traditional
Saturday night concert.
Cost factors combined with the size of the grandstands and available seating have made it difficult for
the board to acquire quality concert acts at reasonable prices.
The board decided this show would provide affordable family entertainment.
