Russell is the daughter of John and Denise Russell. Her SAE project consist of being a co-owner of Doug's Barley Straw, L.L.C. operating a website that sells barley straw for algae control in rural ponds. She placed third in the State Ag sales Proficiency in 2010. She also works the family hay business during the summer. Russell enjoyed showing hogs and dairy beef feeders at the Wood County Fair for 4-H and FFA. She served as president and treasurer of the chapter.
Kemner is the son of Dan and Linnette Kemner. His SAE consisted of raising corn and soybeans, each year for four years. He also maintained placement records for working in the ag. shop. During the winter Kemner would log many hours renovating antique tractors and worked in shop to maintain the family farm equipment. He placed third in the District Ag-Mechanics and Repair Proficiency in 2011. He is currently working at Main and Sons Plumbing & Heating and helping on his family's farm. His goal is to own his own ground and farm more in the future. Kemner has learned that hard work along with taking a greater role in responsibility has helped him achieve the American Degree. With the addition of Russell and Kemner the total American Degree members for the Eastwood FFA chapter has reached 58 degrees. |
