On Oct. 18, this year’s Wood County Junior Fair Board met for the first time.
After the welcoming of new members, the group got down to business.
They discussed the responsibilities of a member, through attendance, participation,
and the Code of Conduct. The members are expected to work hard and be an example
for those at the fair.
Returning members were asked to turn in badges from the previous year.
They discussed committees and signed up for preferred positions. The executive
committee will meet and decide on committee posts.
The most important part of the meeting was electing the new officers for the 2013
fair.
The new president is Courtney Thompson of Elmwood High School. The vice president is
from Eastwood, Logan Browne. Olivia Lause, Bowling Green High School, will serve
as secretary. April Michealis of Otsego is the returning treasurer. Raegen
Vickers of Perrysburg is the news reporter.
The four members elected to be representatives at the Senior Fair Board meetings are
Brocke Abke, Trevor Beuhrer, Ben Wilhelm and Henry Apple. They will be expected
to be the communication between the two boards.
The next meeting will be Nov. 15 at 8 p.m. at the Ohio State Extension Office.
