The Wood County Extension office is holding a "Local Agronomic Update" meeting, including a free seminar on crop management with the latest university data. The topic of the program is "Utilizing Cover Crops to Improve Grain Production." Among the discussions will be: • Species Selection • Planting Methods • Economics • Research Reports, Resources • 4 R Nutrient Stewardship Alan Sundermeier will share university recommendations for cover crop management in grain systems. The event is slated for Thursday from 9 to 11 a.m. in the basement meeting room of the Extension office, 639 Dunbridge Road. There is no charge to attend and no reservations are needed.
