ARCHBOLD – Ohio State University Extension, Defiance and Fulton counties, will host a
"Farmland Leasing Workshop" on Jan. 13 from 6 to 9 p.m. at Northwest State Community
College.The program includes discussion of the following topics:• From flex to cash rent: farmland
leasing options• Factors affecting leasing options and rates• Evaluating cash rent survey data• Legal
issues in farmland leasing• Analyzing good and bad leasing practices• Developing a written lease for
your farmSpeakers will be Barry Ward, assistant professor, OSU Extension leader, production business
management and Peggy Hall, assistant professor, OSU Extension director, agricultural and resource law
program.Pre-registration is required. The cost is $15 per person. Registration deadline is Jan. 8. The
cost includes free refreshments and materials.Checks should be made to OSU Extension, Fulton County and
sent with the registration to 8770 State Route 108, Suite A, Wauseon, OH 43567.The event will be held at
the college’s George V. Voinovich Auditorium, 22660 Ohio 34.
