Serenity Farm benefit set
LUCKEY – Serenity Farm Equestrian Center will hold its seventh annual 2K/5K family fun walk/run on May
17.
There will be prizes for the first three runners over the finish line in the 5K run. There will also be
kids prizes and games at pre-walk time. Registration opens at 8 a.m. at the O-I headquarters, 1 Michael
Owens Way, Perrysburg.
Team Thunder, consisting of three mini-therapy horses) will be on hand and will walk with the 2K portion
of the event.
There will be free refreshments to all walkers and runners along with one free raffle ticket. Additional
raffle tickets will be available for sale.
Registration can be made online at www.serenityfarm.org or forms are available at LevisCommons stores or
through the farm office at 419-833-1308.
Registration is $25.
Equestrian center recognizes Lake Schools for donations
LUCKEY – The "Horse Trophy" for 2013 was awarded to Lake Schools for rasing more than $1,000
for therapeutic riding. Serenity Farm Equestrian Center, 21870 Lemoyne Road, Luckey, awarded the prize
and is seeking additional schools or other youth programs to be involved in fundraising for its programs
this year.
The center is seeking participants for its seventh annual 2K/5K Walk/Run on May 17. (See Brief above.)
The school or group which brings in the most money for the event will be awarded the Horse Trophy this
year.
