Tractor certification offered Tractor certification classes will be offered through the Eastwood Agriculture Education Program for young people between the ages of 14 and 16 years of age. Please contact David Little by March 2 by calling the following: (419) 833-3611. The classes consist of 20 hours of instruction and operation of tractors with attached implements. These classes will be held after school and a schedule will be made after sign-up. Pancakes served for 'ag day' The public is invited to attend the Wood County "Ag Day" on March 9, including a pancake breakfast and program. The event will be held at the Junior Fair Building located at the Wood County Fairgrounds, 13800 W. Poe Road. The pancakes will be served up from 7:30 to 8:15 a.m. The half-hour program which follows directly at 8:15 will focus on "Lake Erie Water Quality." Greg LaBarge, Ohio State University Extension agronomist will discuss agriculture's role to minimize Lake Erie Water Quality nutrient loading. The cost is $2 per person. Walk-ins are welcome and people may pay at the door.
