Eastwood FFA members excel in freezing weather PDF Print E-mail

On March 5 Eastwood FFA members attended the District Judging Contest in Wauseon. The main purpose for this contest is to prepare for the State Judging Contest. Several members competed in the General Livestock, Meats, and Equine competitions. The competitors had to endure below freezing temperatures during these competitions.
The General Livestock team placed first in the District Judging Contest with a team score of 1,471. The top three scorers for Eastwood were Kirsten Ameling, Hunter Frobose, and Garrett Tuck. Other FFA members on the team were Lucas Tuck, Landon Richards, Harrison Patton, Maddi Vaughn, Kimberly Eschedor, and Michaela Booth.
The Meats team also succeeded in placing third in the district with a score of 1,117. The top three scorers on the Meats team for Eastwood were Hannah Frobose, Logan Browne, and Olivia Arman. Also on the Meats team were Lane Kemner, Jaimee Hiser, and Matty Rollo.
The Equine team also did well in the cold weather. The team finished sixth in the district with 764 points. The top three scorers were Jonelle Nissen, Beau Kerr, and Brittany Brittian. The Equine team also consisted of Morgan Work and Danielle Osstifin.
