|'Country Living Day' offered|

WHITEHOUSE - The Lucas County Farm Bureau is co-sponsoring the Country Living Day event at the Blue Creek Conservation Area on Aug. 11 from 1-4 p.m.
This event is a free educational program for the community to come out and learn about agriculture in Lucas County. Activities include visiting baby farm animals, tractors, demonstrations, tours of the area, a hayride and a children's activity area.
Demonstrations to be presented include plant identification and planting; canning foods; worms and composting; beekeeping and honey production.
The children's area will include educational games, a coloring contest, a tractor obstacle course and other educational displays.
Collaborating with the Lucas County Farm Bureau are the following organizations: the Lucas County Soil & Water, OSU Extension-Lucas County, Nature's Nursery, the Native Seed Nursery, and Toledo Metroparks.
The Blue Creek Conservation Area is located at 7790 Schadel Road, Whitehouse.
