NORTH BALTIMORE – After canceling its scheduled December meeting, the Wood County Farmers Union will hold
its annual meeting Jan. 18 beginning at 10 a.m. It will be held at the Iron Skillet Restaurant, 12906
Deshler Road, in the truck plaza.
Because of the date change, president Phil Bresler was unable to confirm as of press time if the
originally scheduled speakers would be attending.
Original speakers included Wood County Commissioner Joel Kuhlman, Ohio Farmers Union President Roger
Wise, and Farm Service Agency state committee member John Bresler. Joe Logan was scheduled to speak on
Senate Bill 150. Vickie Askins was to talk on CAFOs and the ODA manure loophole.
Following the buffet lunch, there will be discussions on the Affordable Care Act, youth poster contests
and scholarship, and election of delegates to Ohio Farmers Union state convention.
