On April 14 the Jackson Livestock 4-H Club held its monthly meeting. Roll call was taken by asking members what their favorite tree was.
Club advisors Matt and Monica Davis led the club members in their annual Quality Assurance meeting. It included the 10 good production practices, focusing on three of those practices. The club also completed activities helping members understand the animal's blind spots, flight zone and how to read and properly fill out DUNFs.
Members with goats were reminded of the goat weigh-in date this Saturday. The club members were assigned roads to pick up as part of their community service project. Members were informed of the new demonstration requirements; new project books were handed out and members were reminded of recycling, also on Saturday.
Demonstrations and snacks for the next meeting were assigned and then club members enjoyed snacks.
The next meeting is May 19, at 6:30 p.m. at the Ohio State Research and Development Center.
