Country Guys and Gals
Members of the Country Guys and Gals 4-H Club met Sunday at Portage Township Hall for its organizational meeting.
Members elected officers. Those elected were Courtney Thomson as president ; Brianna Hammond vice president; Abby Bozigar, secretary; with Jon Shinew as treasurer. The reporter is Kristen Curtis; Jakoeb Sader,  historian. Health and safety leader will be Brittany Gross; the recreation leaders are Cassie and Emilia Shaffer.
It was announced that club funds will pay for member project books, and no dues will be assessed this year. It was voted to again sponsor trophies and a 1/2 camp scholarship.    Enrollment forms were passed out. Members also signed up for dates to work the recycling trailer, demonstrations, and snack.
Club members are looking into the making of a quilt square.
The next meeting will be March 3 at 7 p.m. at the Portage Township Building.

Blue Ribbon Rangers
The Blue Ribbon Rangers 4-H Club met Feb. 4, at Christ Lutheran Church.
New members and former Cloverbuds who became 4-H members were introduced. Premium checks were awarded for prize-winning projects. Members were encouraged to choose new projects by next meeting. New officers will be elected in May.
The group played games and made ice cream sundaes. The next meeting will be held on March 4 at 7 p.m .at Christ Lutheran Church in Dowling.

Jackson Livestock
The first meeting of Jackson Livestock for the 2013 4-H year took place on Sunday.
Members were informed of new deadlines and projects. Present members were assigned recycling and new officers were elected. They are as follows; Tonee Weaver, president and Rachel Wenzinger, vice president. The reporter is Lindsay Davis and the secretary is Ross Wenzinger.
The club's next meeting will be March 9.
