Zura, Hoodlebrink crowned at Eastwood PDF Print E-mail

PEMBERVILLE - Berkleigh Zura and Jacob Hoodlebrink were crowned queen and king at Eastwood High School's homecoming festivities Friday.
Zura is the daughter of Craig and Ericka Zura. She is a member of student council, senior executive council, People Inc. and National Honor Society. She has played varsity soccer for four years and is captain this year.
She plans to attend the University of Cincinnati to study nursing and biology.
Hoodlebrink is the son of Kevin and Wendy Hoodlebrink. He has been in band, a Bible study group, track and the senior spirit group.
He plans to run track at Kent State University.
The senior attendants include Casey Twining, Thomas Martin, Christine Russell, Kyle Waynick, Jessica Lytle and Trever Vaughn.
The rest of the court includes juniors Samantha Sandwisch and Tedd Eisenhour; sophomores Alexa Schmeltz and Tony Caris; and freshmen Leah Tressel and Logan Avalos.
Twining has run cross country for three years and plans to run her fourth year in track. She also is president of student council and is a member of People Inc., international club and senior executive council. She's also part of God's Squad at Bradner United Methodist Church.
She's the daughter of Brian and Sherrie Twining. She plans to attend college to study nursing or pharmacy.
Martin participates in track and weight lifting, and is a district officer of DeMolay International.
The son of Terry and Nancy Martin, he plans to attend Ohio State University to get a bachelor's degree and eventually a PhD in aerospace engineering.
Russell is president of FFA and vice president of senior executive council. She also participates in track and National Honor Society, as well as Blue Rangers 4-H club.
The daughter of John and Denise Russell, she plans to attend OSU or Bowling Green State University to study accounting.
Waynick is the son of Robb and Tammie Waynick. He is a member of the bowling and golf teams as well as international club. He plans to attend OSU or BGSU to study neuroscience.
Lytle is a member of HOSA at Penta Career Center and is parliamentarian of her senior med tech lab.
She plans to pursue a medical career in college. She's the daughter of Tammy Lytle.
Vaughn participates in Skills USA at Penta, and is on the Wood County Junior Fair Board. He plans to attend college and study criminal justice. He's the son of John and Kim Vaughn.
Sandwisch is in color guard, choir and Tri-M.
She's the daughter of Terry and Kimberly Sandwisch.
Eisenhour participates in marching and concert bands, plus track and field. He's the son of Brian and Amy Eisenhour.
Schmeltz plays basketball, softball and travel softball. She's the daughter of James and Tammy Schmeltz.
Caris runs cross country and plays in the marching and jazz bands. His parents are Dave and Kim Caris.
Tressel participates in junior varsity volleyball, track and field, club volleyball, student council, 4-H and her church's youth group.
She's the daughter of Tim and Sue Tressel.
Avalos participates in freshman football and is a member of National Junior Honor Society.
He's the son of Alex and Melissa Avalos.
