Way Library plans events for homeschooled kids

PERRYSBURG – Way Library continues to offer programs specifically for homeschooled boys and girls. Here
is what is being presented in February.
Afternoon Adventures: Magnets is being offered on Feb. 3 at 1:30 p.m. for ages 5-7. The children will be
introduced to the workings of magnets in this hands-on program.
Online registration is required.
Book Talk is taking place on Feb. 10 at 1:30 p.m. for ages 8-12. The book under discussion will be
"The One and Only Ivan" by Katherine Applegate. This is a Newbery Award winning book of a
gorilla who has spent most of his life in a circus. He accepts things as they are until a baby elephant
joins the circus.
It is then that he tries to find a better life for little Ruby.
Youngsters are to sign up at the Youth Services Desk where copies of the book are available for
check-out.
History Hikers is being presented on Feb. 17 at 1:30 p.m. for ages 8-12. Youngsters will learn some fun
and educational facts about the Philippines.
