Those looking to strengthen communication and writing skills can enroll in the University of Findlay's two-year master's program to receive a master of arts in rhetoric and writing.
The master's program is designed to prepare students for advanced study in rhetoric writing or other related fields that require skilled writing ability in digital environments.
It is intended for students who have completed a bachelor's degree and have met the admission requirements. Completion of the graduate record examination (GRE) with a score of at least 500, or the equivalent, must be on file no later than after the completion of the first 12 credit hours.
The master's of rhetoric and writing program is a 36-37 semester-credit-hour program that may be completed in two years. It includes coursework in writing theory and pedagogy, digital media and composition, language and writing, classical and contemporary rhetorical theory, digital writing research methods and topics in creative, technical and scientific writing.
The curriculum will prepare students for careers in many diverse areas of education, public relations, communications, law and marketing.
