Rossford High School/Penta
Haylie Steer, a senior from Rossford High School, enrolled in the dental assistant program at Penta Career Center, has been selected as the Career-Technical Student of the Month for April by the Perrysburg Kiwanis Club.
Steer was on the honor roll her sophomore year at Rossford. At Penta, she has been on the honor roll all quarters during the past two years. This school year she has earned an Academic Excellence Award in Anatomy.    
Since attending Penta, she has been a member of SkillsUSA. Through SkillsUSA, she has served as vice president of the dental assistant program during her junior and senior years. She also has been active in several school-wide community service projects such as the Bowl-A-Thon for Special Olympics, Make-A-Wish Foundation and the 2012 Relay for Life.
Outside of school, Steer is a staff leader at a vacation bible school for the Church of Saint Andrew in Toledo. She currently works at Target in Rossford.
After she graduates from Rossford High School and completes Penta's dental assistant program, Steer plans to attend Owens Community College to study dental hygiene.

BG High School/Penta
Eclipse Stockwell is the April Student of the Month representing Bowling Green High School and Penta Career Center. The Bowling Green Exchange Club sponsors the award.
She's the granddaughter of John and Ruth Rose, Bowling Green, and is enrolled in the cosmetology program at Penta.
She's a member of the BGHS bowling team and Penta's Skill USA, and has been an Explore Penta Day ambassador.
She's volunteered at the Wood County Public Library and the Humane Society.
Stockwell has earned the Penta Achievement Award and the Leadership Award at SkillsUSA camp.
She took the Ohio Board Tests for cosmetology this week and after passing she will be a licensed cosmetologist.
After graduation, she plans to attend Bowling Green State University to major in business administration while working at a salon to finance her education.
Her ultimate goal is to become an accountant but she took cosmetology to she would be able to pay for college and have a back-up plan for employment.
