Lakota High School
Tyler Aldrich was selected by the staff of Lakota High School as the February Student of the Month.
Aldrich is a senior and a member of student council, athletic council, National Honor Society, cross country and track.
He has also been the Lakota Raider mascot for the past two years.
The senior participates in various community activities including volunteering at the Red Cross bloodmobile and Toys for Tots. He has also given several inspirational speeches on living with autism.
Following graduation, he plans to pursue a degree in the criminal justice field.
Aldrich is ranked fifth in his class with a 3.090 gpa, He is the son of Al and Tami Aldrich of Fremont.
Otsego High School
Otsego High school has named A.C. Limes as its senior Student of the Month for February.
Also recognized were junior Ashlynn Mikesell, sophomore Phoebe Cheney, and freshman Colton Snyder.
Lime is ranked seventh in his class with a 3.9 gpa. He is captain of the varsity football and basketball teams, for which he's played four years; and is also a four-year member of FFA, earning his State Degree last year and serving as treasurer this year.
He was this year's all-time leading scorer for Otsego basketball and was named winter homecoming king.
He has received league and district awards in football and basketball, and was named NBC Player of the Year this year in basketball.
He is a member of National Honor Society and has been a 4-H camp counselor and 10-year 4-H member.
He plans to attend the University of Findlay, where he will play football and major in a health profession
He's the son of Keith and Tracy Limes, Bowling Green.
Mikesell is the daughter of Scott and Tammy Mikesell, Weston. She has spent three years in chorale choir, and both concert and marching band. She's also involved in the school musicals, jazz band and swing choir. She earned the Outstanding Band Member Award this year.
Cheney is the daughter of Chris and Mary Cheney, of Bowling Green. She's a two-year member of the choir and musical production. She's also been an eight-year student at Julie's Dance Studio, and has spent two years cheering at the Ohio Cheer Academy.
Snyder is the son of Jeffrey and Stacey Snyder, Bowling Green. He participates in FFA, student council, this year's musical, cross country, track and freshman basketball.
