The Bowling Green Rotary Club is offering an opportunity to all Wood County students, grades 9-12, to participate in the Rotary Four Way Test Speech Contest.
It will be held at St. Mark's Lutheran Church, 315 S. College.
The contest entails delivering a 5 to 7 minute speech on April 27, beginning at 9 a.m. The speech must be original in content and be about applying the Rotary Four-Way Test to an important issue in our everyday relationships with other people.
The test asks the following questions: Is it the TRUTH? Is it FAIR to ALL concerned? Will it build GOOD WILL & BETTER FRIENDSHIPS? Will it be BENEFICIAL to ALL concerned?
In honor of the Bowling Green Rotary's 75th Anniversary, the prize money is based on increments of $75 this year. The top three contestants will be awarded the following prizes: first $225, second $150 and third $75.
Students who wish to participate may contact their high school guidance counselor or main office  for details and a registration form. The registration deadline is April 23.
This contest is also open to home school students.
