ROSSFORD - Do you have a non-educational bachelor degree and have an interest in becoming a substitute teacher? The Rossford School District is hosting a free in-service for those individuals interested in learning more about substitute teaching in the district. Individuals without teaching experience, as well as current Rossford School District substitute teachers who have not attended a previous session, are invited to attend. The in-service will take place on Aug.17 from 8 to 11:30 a.m. in the Bulldog Center conference room, 719 Dixie Hwy. Check-in begins at 7:45 a.m. Park in the parking lot behind Bulldog Center and enter through the side door. The goal for the in-service is to assist substitute teachers in feeling more comfortable, more prepared and more confident at each grade level. Information will be shared on the nuances of each building, classroom management strategies for grades K-12 and questions will be answered. Each participant will receive a handbook, which includes helpful information and procedures for each building, organizational tools and resource information. R.S.V.P. to Lisa Spotts at the Rossford Board of Education Office at (419) 666-2010. |
