Roe, Tembo crowned at Bowling Green PDF Print E-mail

"New York, New York: A Night in the '20s" was the theme for Bowling Green High School's homecoming celebration.
During the week leading up to Friday's homecoming game, the Bobcat hallways appeared to be flooded with colorful onesies, superhero capes, and feather boas and many other imaginative outfits.
The 2013 homecoming queen and king were Morgan Roe and Nathan Tembo.
She is the daughter of Craig and Jodi Roe and is a member of key club, and is the editor of the BGHS Hi Echo yearbook. She also is a member of the rose court and a two-year letterman in golf. She participates with the St. Aloysius youth group. Roe plans on attending BGSU and major in education and become either a reading or math teacher.
He is the son of Dr. Rostern and Eddie Tembo. Tembo is a member of the football team, and participates in track and field. He is a member of the key club, SAB and band and a member of the rose court. He participates with Young Life and plans on majoring in business and math in college.
To present the 2013 queens crown were Stephanie Low, 2012 homecoming queen, and Devin Spencer, the 2012 homecoming king.
The homecoming court includes:
Senior attendant Jessica Akers and her escort Steven Gerdeman.
Akers is a football and basketball cheerleader and participates in competition cheer. She participates in the First Amendment club and is a member of National Honor Society and is on the honor roll.  She is employed at the Sundae Station and volunteers with the junior Bobcat cheerleading clinic. Akers plans on attending Clemson University and study law. She is the daughter of Adam Akers and Melissa Greenlee.
Gerdeman is a member of key club and also is a soccer player. He plans to major in business in college. He's the son of Carl and Diane Gerdeman.  
The Penta Attendant was Olivia Beaverson and her escort was Alexander Gutierrez.
She is the daughter of John Beaverson and participates in Skills USA and is a hair design competition participant and is studying hair design at Penta. She is an honor roll student. Beaverson plans on taking the state board exam in cosmetology in the spring and become a licensed hair designer.
He is the son of Arturo and Jennifer Gutierrez and is a member of Bobcat football and wrestling teams. He is on the Penta leadership board and is a member of Family, Career and Community of America. He is an honor roll student and also a member of National Technical Honor Society. Gutierrez plans on attending BGSU and work toward a degree in biology and study anesthesiology.
The junior attendant was Anna Hanson and her escort was Tyler Remeis.
She is the daughter of Mark and Laurie Hanson and is a member of the key club, SAB and the tennis team. Hanson is also involved in young life and is a honor roll student. Her future plans are to attend college but is undecided as to her major.
He is the son of Mark and Michelle Remeis, and is a member of the golf team and is on the honor roll. Remeis plans on attending Murray State University.
The sophomore attendant was Ashley Cochrane and her escort was Adam Schroeder.
Cochrane is a member of key club, SAB and plays flute in the band. She also is a member of the competition dance team at The Beat Dance Company. She's the daughter of Kevin and Stacy Cochrane.
Schroeder is the son of Patrick and Karen Schroeder and is a member of key club, SAB and track. He attends St. Aloysius Church.
The freshman attendant was Kelsey Remeis and her escort was William Mathis.
She is the daughter of Mark and Michelle Remeis and is a member of the volleyball team, track and SAB.
He is the son of Bill and Carol Mathis, and is a member of the band, soccer and basketball teams
The Rose Court is made up of twenty senior students: 10 ladies and 10 men.
Students were selected by BGHS high school teachers and staff that they believe exemplify the Core Values of Bowling Green Schools: The values of responsibility, honesty, courage, integrity, tolerance, justice, respect, work ethic and compassion
This year, teachers and staff have chosen to nominate students that deserve this recognition, but not otherwise receive it.
Grace Easterly is a member of drama club, choir, band and GSA.
Levi Wick Is a member of band and drama club.
Abigail Paskvan is a member of Key Club, Madrigals, and is choir president.
Kevin ConnellI is a member of band and soccer.
Lauren Smetzer Is a member of orchestra, drama club, French National Society, and the thespian group.
Andrew Crowe is a member of Quiz Bowl, drama club, Madrigals.
Jana Cable is a member of band, National Society, drama club, and varsity soccer.
Nathan Sell is a member of key club, National Honor Society, soccer, and Spanish National Honor Society.
Erin Graves is a member of marching band, the tennis team, symphonic band, Ohio energy project and GSA.
Camden Carsey is a member of DECA, football, basketball and choir.
Bronwen Espen is a member of key club and National Honor Society.
Andy Fisher Is a member of Bobcat football, basketball and baseball.
Kayleigh George is member of marching band, drama club National Honor Society and German National Honor Society.
Drew Mankowski is a member of National Honor Society, hockey and lacrosse.
Kirstyn Harris is a member of key club, SAB, book club and drama club.
Judson McDaniel is a member of DECA, band, French club and soccer.
Morgan Roe is a member of key club, varsity girls golf, and is yearbook editor.
Ricky Riggs is a member of Bobcat football, basketball and baseball.
Deja Serrato is a member of drama club, choir and art club.
Nathan Tembo is a member of key club, SAB, band, football and track.
