|Retired teachers plan spring meeting|

The Wood County Retired Teachers will hold their spring meeting Thursday at First United Methodist Church, 1506 E. Wooster St..
Nancy Orel, Ph.D., LPC, will speak on "Memory:" Ways to Prevent Memory Loss and Strategies for Improving Memory.
Reservations for the $12 luncheon must be made by Thursday by calling WCRT President Donna Schmidt at (419) 352-6397.
Orel is interim associate dean for undergraduate students and community engagement in the College of Health and Human Services at Bowling Green State University. She also is associate professor and director of the gerontology programs and the graduate coordinator for the new master of science in interdisciplinary gerontology at BGSU.
Prior to joining the BGSU faculty, Orel was the executive director of the Washtenaw County Council on Aging in Ann Arbor, Mich.
Lunch will be prepared by "Chef" Michael Zaborniak, who recently returned to the area following retirement as a teacher from East Muskingum School District in New Concord.
The menu includes carrot/raisin salad, golden meatloaf, twice-baked potatoes, broccoli casserole and chocolate layer cheesecake.
Doors will open at 11:30 a.m.
The program and lunch are open to the public.
