Congressman Bob Latta, R-Bowling Green, will honor the U.S. Military Service Academy appointments for the incoming class of 2017 on Sunday. This year, eight area students received appointments and will be recognized at an afternoon reception with Latta and their families.
The reception will run from 1 to 2 p.m. in the Simpson Building, 1291 Conneaut Ave..
The following students will be honored:
‚Äʬ†¬† ¬†Nathan Downs from Bowling Green, University of Cincinnati received an appointment to the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy
‚Äʬ†¬† ¬†Sara Pisarski from Bowling Green, Bowling Green Senior High School received an appointment to the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy
‚Äʬ†¬† ¬†Jared Kobylski, from Bowling Green, Bowling Green Senior High School received an appointment to the U.S. Military Academy
‚Äʬ†¬† ¬†Joseph Pritts, from Cygnet, Elmwood High School received an appointment to the U.S. Military Academy
‚Äʬ†¬† ¬†Ryan Roth, from Perrysburg, Perrysburg High School received an appointment to the U.S. Military Academy
‚Äʬ†¬† ¬†Caleb Lipscomb, from Perrysburg, University of Colorado received an appointment to the U.S. Naval Academy
‚Äʬ†¬† ¬†James Smith, from Walbridge, St. Francis De Sales High School received an appointment to the U.S. Naval Academy
‚Äʬ†¬† ¬†Nikolas Wolford, from Van Wert, Van Wert High School received an appointment to the U.S. Military Academy
