This evening of intimate theatre features a selection of one act plays ranging from comedy to drama.
"10 Ways to Survive the Zombie Apocalypse" – It’s the end of the world and hordes of rampaging
zombies are about to kill you. What do you do? Try your hand at kung fu against the undead? Attempt to
reason with creatures that would rather eat brains than use them? Turn to this handy and hilarious guide
to survive the apocalypse.
"Thistle Blossoms" – The show examines the relationship that develops between a troubled
student and a rigid university instructor. Their conflict begins as Lisa walks into Joe’s classroom on
the first day of spring break. It is their first encounter since Lisa turned in her personal essay
assignment – a work describing her own planned suicide, aborted only by Joe’s intervention. Lisa’s
tragically sincere belief that death would be better than life and Joe’s unusual approach to dealing
with and preventing these chilling plans will have your audience captivated to the end.
"Of Widows and Vegetables" – Tells the story of Harlequin, a spontaneously mischievous
character, and explores love and money, marriage and virginal vestitude, zucchinis and death, lentils
and tap dancing widows – but it is so much more than that.
The shows are led by director Rob Gentry and assistant director Deb Drew.
