PERRYSBURG - Perrysburg High School's Athletic Department will be hosting "Youth Night" on Sept. 27 at the home football game between the Perrysburg Yellow Jackets and the Napoleon Wildcats.
The Athletic Depart-ment, Athletic Boosters and Student Council are raising funds for Make-A-Wish® in honor of Wish Child Kaylynn.
Kaylynn battles a medical condition called Dravet Syndrome, a life-threatening form of epilepsy that begins in infancy. Living with Dravet Syndrome affects the life of Kaylynn on a daily basis; however, this doesn't stop her from enjoying the things she loves. She enjoys being outside playing, riding her bike, riding horses, swimming and swinging on her swing set.
Kaylynn wishes to go to Walt Disney World® Resort.
Perrysburg students, faculty and staff will be wearing blue Make-A-Wish bracelets in honor of Kaylynn on Friday during the day and at the football game. They will be sold at the game for $1. Further donations will be collected by the student council officers between the first and second quarter of Friday's game. The athletic boosters will also be selling spirit items and glow sticks with net proceeds benefitting Make-A-Wish.
Perrysburg elementary school students will be special guests at the game. There will be over 50 elementary cheerleaders performing throughout the game.
