Penta Career Center is planning to upgrade its wireless internet capabilities.
The Board of Education has agreed to advertise for bids for the project. Plans call for the bid to be approved at the board's June meeting and work to be completed over the summer.
Board President Robert Righi said the project will give wireless internet access all over the building "and will put us well into the future."
Board members also voted to reject five bids received for the new south wing cold storage building. All bids came in more than 10 percent over the estimated cost.
Superintendent Ron Matter said the matter will be tabled to a later date after discussion with the architect.
"If we proceed, it won't be until next year because we want to do this over the summer time," Matter said.
Also at the May meeting, board members approved a $175,600 bid from Midwest Contracting to complete the addition to the existing land lab cold storage building.
