The Montessori School of Bowling Green will be joining more than 5,000 schools around the world in observing Montessori Education Week, February 21-27. The students and teachers have planned a series of special events to honor this child-centered, individualized approach to teaching.
"The Montessori School of Bowling Green was the first school in Ohio to earn accreditation from the American Montessori Society and will be celebrating its 30th anniversary this year," said school head Natalie Jackson.
The school's anniversary will be the theme of this year's celebration and events honoring students, parents, staff and community. The culminating event will be a 30th Anniversary Gala scheduled for Feb. 27 at Nazareth Hall in Grand Rapids.
The Montessori School of Bowling Green educates children from pre-school through sixth grade. To obtain more information about Montessori Education or to schedule a tour of MSBG, parents are welcome to contact the school at (419) 352-4203.
