Jackson, Kolbe crowned at RHS PDF Print E-mail

ROSSFORD - Rossford High School picked "A Night in the Emerald City" as the theme for its fall homecoming.
Margo Jackson was crowned queen and Aaron Kolbe was named king at the Friday night event.
Other candidates included Emily Jahns, Tyler Fargo, Kaitlyn Randolph, Dylan Losciewcz, Lyndsey Skala and Ryan Reed.
Jackson is the daughter of Don and Kelly Jackson. At school, she plays varsity volleyball, basketball, and softball and is a member of the varsity band, National Honor Society, student council, Students in Action, Red Cross club, and Fellowship of Christian Athletes. After high school, she plans to attend Urbana University to play softball and major in history education.
Kolbe is the son of Todd and Dianna Kolbe. He is a team captain for the varsity football team. He plans to attend the University of Toledo after high school, but is undecided about his course of study.
Jahns, daughter of Tom and Paula Jahns, is in the DECA program, serves as a Link crew leader, and is a varsity cheerleader. She works part-time as a hostess at Social in Perrysburg. After high school, she plans to attend the University of Toledo to major in paralegal studies.
Fargo is the son of Kim and Chris Fargo. He participates in international club, plays baseball, and is a member of DECA. Fargo works part-time at Social Gastro pub in Perrysburg, and serves in the Air National Guard. Upon graduating, he will attend basic training to serve in the United States Air Force. He plans to attend Ohio State University once he has completed basic training.
Randolph, daughter of Ken and Melissa Randolph,  has been a cheerleader and a part of the dance team in the past. She plans to take part in bowling this year. She works part-time at Kohl's in Perrysburg. After high school, she plans to attend Lourdes University to pursue her degree in nursing.
Losciewcz is a part of the varsity football and varsity track team. He works part-time as a cashier at Meijer in Rossford. After graduation, Losciewcz plans to attend the University of Toledo to major in radiology. He is the son of Gidget and Doug Losiewicz.
Skala is the daughter of Mark and Sandy Skala. She serves as the vice president of the senior class, is involved in Link crew, DECA, student council, varsity "R" club, cheerleading, and softball. She works part-time at Cardinal Staffing in Northwood. After high school, Skala plans to attend the University of Toledo to major in business.
Reed plays football and baseball at RHS and  works part-time at Belmont Country Club. After high school, he plans to go to college and play baseball. He is the son of James Reed.
The Penta Career Center attendant was Mercedes Cowell, and her escort was Patrick Maas.
Cowell is the daughter of Hal and Wilma Green. At Penta is a member of HOSA-Health Occupation Students of America. She is also in the dental assistant program. Outside of school, she plays softball with the Lady Titans. After high school Cowell plans to attend the University of Toledo with hopes of becoming an oral surgeon.
Maas is son of Joseph and Brenda Maas. Outside of school, Patrick enjoys playing sand volleyball and working with his uncle completing jobs all over the state of Ohio. After high school, he plans to attend college to become a veterinarian.
The junior attendant was Maggie Leahy, escorted by John Pupik III.
Leahy, daughter of Jeanine and John Alexander and Chris Leahy, plays varsity volleyball and softball. She is a member of student council, National Honor Society, Students in Action, Red Cross club, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, SOS club, international club and LINK crew. Out of school, Leahy enjoys volunteering at the University of Toledo Medical Center and playing travel volleyball. After high school, she hopes to attend the University of Michigan majoring in pre-med.
Pupik III, son of John Pupik Jr. and Susan DeAngelis, participates in varsity football, track, and band, Students in Action, LINK crew, and National Honor Society. After high school, he plans to attend a university to pursue chemical engineering.
The sophomore attendant was Caitlyn Schwiefert, escorted by Ethan Little-Deer.
Schwiefert, daughter of Walt and Connie Schwiefert, participates in football and basketball cheerleading, varsity band, student council, Fellowship of Christian athletes, newspaper, dance team, and serves as the vice president of the sophomore class. Out of school she coaches little league cheerleading and is involved with Athens Missionary Baptist youth group.
Little-Deer, son of Joshua Deer and Lenice Little, participates in football, basketball, and newspaper.
The freshman attendant was Kennedy Durco, who was escorted by Ben Duwve.
Durco, daughter of Joe and Karla Durco, she plays junior varsity volleyball, is a basketball cheerleader, and runs track. Out of school she plays travel volleyball, and works part-time at Shubie's ice cream.
Duwve, son of Lawrence and Victoria Duwve, participates in varsity band, as well as varsity soccer.
Last year's royalty helped with the crowning ceremony.
Cari Oliver, 2012 queen, is the daughter of Catherine Scholidon and Lewis Oliver. She is currently attending Owens Community College, however, she has not yet decided on her course of study. She is a nanny for a local Rossford family.
King Mark Skala was unable to attend because he is in basic training for the United States Air Force. In his stead was 2013 winter homecoming king  Modlim Obi is joining us this evening. As an RHS student, Modlim played basketball, tennis, soccer, and was a member of DECA. Modlim is attending the University of Toledo with a major in business.
