Firsdon, Wilson crowned at Eastwood PDF Print E-mail

PEMBERVILLE - Hannah Firsdon and Avery Wilson were named queen and king at Eastwood High School's winter homecoming Feb. 15.
Also in the court were seniors Marissa Flores, Skylar Dierker, Cassie Hoffman, Derick Buchman, Courtney Stone and Preston Dibling; juniors Regina Reidling and David Turk; sophomores Kortni Montag and Lucas Tuck; and freshmen Sarah Bettinger and Nick Coffman.
Firsdon is president of the senior class, and vice president of student council and the art club. She also in a member of People Incorporated, National Honor Society, key club, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Teen Institute, the hide and seek club, plus indoor and outdoor track and field.
She's been a life guard at the Pemberville pool for two years and attends Cedar Creek Church.
She plans to attend Kent State University to study nursing.
She's the daughter of Cindy and Todd Henline and Tony Firsdon.
Wilson plays soccer and plans to attend Bowling Green State University to study computer science. He's the son of Peter and Jill Wilson.
Flores is a member of student council, senior executive council, and the hide and seek club. She also plays varsity soccer.
She plans to attend BGSU to major in visual communication technology.
She's the daughter of Stacey and Macey Flores.
Dierker plays basketball, baseball and football for the Eagles, and is a member of National Honor Society, Epicos youth band, and Pointman ministries.
He plans to join the Navy and study aeronautical engineering.
He's the son of Mike and Missy Dierker.
Hoffman is secretary of National Honor Society and treasurer of her 4-H club. She's also a member of People Incorporated and is a post-secondary options student at BGSU.
She hopes to attend Owens Community College in its physical therapy assistant program.
She's the daughter of Matt Hoffman.
Buchman has participated in football and FFA for four years, and is a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church.
He works at Mid-Wood and on the family farm and was to pursue an ag degree at Owens.
He's the son of Ross and Becky Buchman.
Stone attends Penta Career Center and is president of Skills USA (north wing) and a member of the student leadership team. She's also been involved in the Naval Sea Cadet Program, as she's interested in going into the Navy.
She plans to enroll in the Caterpillar dealer service program at Owens.
Her parents are Robert and Chacie Stone.
Dibling is a bassist for Sonfire by the River.
He wants to become a freelance videographer and photographer.
He's the grandson of John Dibling and Cheryl Doyle.
Reidling participates in cheerleading, band, Tri-M and National Honor Society.
She's the daughter of Joe and Sylvia Reidling.
Turk participates in golf, choir, marching band and concert band. He also plays varsity basketball for Bowling Green Christian Academy and attends First United Presbyterian Church in Pemberville.
He's the son of Edward and Julie Turk.
Montag participates in varsity soccer, varsity track, indoor soccer and club soccer during the summer.
Her parents are Joe and Kari Montag.
Tuck has been involved with 4-H for eight years and is on the Wood County Livestock Judging Team. He also is a member of Eastwood FFA.
He attends Village View Church of Christ, and is the son of Gary and Lori Tuck.
Bettinger plays on the Eastwood soccer team, and attends Calvary United Methodist Church in Tontogany.
She's the daughter of Rob and Pam Bettinger.
Coffman participates in key club, varsity golf and junior varsity basketball.
He's the son of Scott and Kim Coffman.
