The financial aid process can be a complicated one. Bowling Green State University is hosting workshops
on Saturday and Feb. 7 to help students and their families understand the application and award process.

Two workshops will be held Saturday. The first runs from 9 a.m. to noon, and the second from 1 to 4 p.m.
The Feb. 7 session runs from 9 a.m. to noon. Registration is required to attend. You can register online
at http://sfa.bgsu.edu/workshop. All workshops will be held in the Lenhart Grand Ballroom of the
Bowen-Thompson Student Union.
Student Financial Aid (SFA) staff will be available throughout the events to offer advice and information
related to the financial aid application process. Sessions will describe the basics of financial aid,
review various scholarship opportunities and provide an overview of federal, state and institutional
financial aid programs.
Representatives from Financial Aid, Admissions, Student Employment, Residence Life and Student Money
Management will also be available to discuss individual financial aid situations one-on-one.
Door prizes will be given to many students in attendance, including two $250 SFA scholarships awarded at
each session.
