Fackler, Gregory crowned at Otsego

TONTOGANY - Otsego High School celebrated its fall homecoming Friday, and crowned Dayna Fackler as queen and Zac Gregory as king.
There were four queen and king candidates
Fackler is the daughter of Rod and Dee Fackler. Her school activities includes four years in cross country, track and cheerleading and she's also active in National Honor Society, chorale, swing choir and Knightmusik. She is president of student council.
She is a member and Sunday school teacher at Calvary United Methodist Church in Grand Rapids and is active in Young Life.
Gregory is the son of Chad and Emily Gregory. He has played baseball and soccer for four years, and is active in men's choir, chorale, swing choir, octet, quartet, and Knightmusik.
He is a member of Young Life and is a coach and umpire in the Southwood baseball league.
The other queen and king candidates included Marisa DiBartolomeo, Cole Gorski, Tayler Bowen, Cody Downs, Hannah Davis and Eddie Ferguson.
DiBartolomeo is treasurer of student council, vice president of National Honor Society, and captain for the girls cross country team, basketball and track. She also is active in Young Life and The Right Direction, a youth development program. She's the daughter of Don and Colleen DiBartolomeo.
Gorski has participated in football and indoor/outdoor track for four years, choir for three years and National Honor Society for two years. He is a member of St. Aloysius Church and its youth group, as well as Young Life. He is a coach for youth football. His parents are John and Elizabeth Gorski.
Bowen is the daughter of Scott and Barb Bowen. She's been involved in varsity softball, FFA, choir and the yearbook staff, and is a member of Young Life and First United Methodist Church.
Downs is the son of Rick and Heidi Downs. He's active in football, basketball, powerlifting and yearbook. He is a member of Brookside Church and Young Life, and coaches flag football.
Davis is class president, and has participated in varsity golf, student leadership board and DECA. She also is a member of Tontogany Hotwire 4-H club and Wood County Shooting Sports. Her parents are Bill and June Davis.
Ferguson has been in cross country, marching and concert bands for four years, baseball for three, National Honor Society for two, and book and media club. He also is active in Young Life. His parents are Ed Ferguson and Jennifer Ferguson-Lott.
The Penta attendant was Lauren Weilnau and her escort was Colby Roseman.
Weilnau is the daughter of Paul and Julie Weilnau and is a member of Skills USA, student leadership and HOSA at Penta.
Roseman is the son of Dustin Roseman and Dorothy Roseman. He is enrolled in Penta's automotive collision repair program at Penta and is active in Skills USA.
The junior attendant was Eva Scott and her escort was Brandon Avers.
Scott's activities include golf, Knightmusik, swing choir and yearbook. She is a member of Beaver Creek Boosters 4-H club, Wood County Junior Fair Board, and is a 4-H camp counselor. Her parents are Doug and Molly Scott.
Avers has spent three years in varsity cross country, varsity track and indoor track; two years in junior varsity basketball; and two years as a student council representative. He is a member of the Toledo Road Runners, a volunteer at the Wood County Senior Center, and a member of 4-H for nine years. His parents are Rob and Michelle Avers.
The sophomore attendant was Marissa Garrett and her escort was Zane Thomas.
Garrett is the daughter of Mark and Carole Garrett and she's active in varsity soccer, track, women's choir and FFA. She also is a member of Haskins Community Church, Green Meadows 4-H club and Young Life.
Thomas is the son of Jay and Heidi Thomas. He participates in varsity soccer, junior varsity basketball, track and men's choir. He also is a member of Bowling Green Church of Christ, Young Life, and 4-Leaf Clovers 4-H club.
The freshman attendant was Lauren Gray, escorted by Colton Battin.
Gray participates in volleyball, basketball, women's choir, FFA and Parliamentary Procedure. She attends St. Patrick's Church, and is the daughter of John and Jane Gray.
Battin is active in FFA, football and basketball. He is a member of St. Patrick's Church and Beaver Creek Boosters 4-H club, and is the son of Bob and Joan Battin.
