PHS DECA wins logo contest
During the month of September, Perrysburg Commons Retirement Center along with the Perrysburg Township Fire Department, held a contest to name the fire department's new kid's spray trailer for their safety program.
There were more than 50 entries, and many of the Perrysburg area schools participated in the contest, with the winning class being the DECA class from Perrysburg High School.
The winning name, Blaze, was announced at The Commons fall festival. The class also designed a logo that has been placed on the kid's spray trailer.
The DECA class and Perrysburg Commons will be teaming up on future events in the Perrysburg area with the next event to be a "Route 20 Chili Cook-off" being planned sometime in February for businesses located on Fremont Pike.
