PHS choirs, strings perform four-movement mass
PERRYSBURG - This fall, the Perrysburg choirs and symphony strings are combining forces to stage Ola Gjeilo's "Sunrise Mass," a four-movement mass that takes audiences on a journey from the heavens to the earth.
The combined concert will take place Monday at 7 p.m. at Grace United Methodist Church.
Admission is free and open to the public.
The PHS Symphonic Chorale, Jazz Singers, Women's Select, Women's Chorus, Men's Chorus and Symphony Strings will be performing.
BG sets special meeting
The Bowling Green Board of Education will hold a special meeting on Monday at 4 p.m. for the purpose of discussing personnel employment in executive session. No board action is expected to be taken.
The meeting will be held in the Team Room at the middle school.
NB board meets Tuesday
NORTH BALTIMORE - The North Baltimore Board of Education will meet Tuesday at 5:30 p.m. in the middle school.
The meeting is open to the public.
Book fair at Glenwood Elem.
ROSSFORD - The Scholastic Book Fair¬Æ will be at Glenwood Elementary School from Oct. 32 to Nov. 7.
It will be held in the school library and will be open during school hours and parent-teacher conferences on Nov. 6-7.
The theme is Reading Oasis: A Cool Place to Discover Hot Books.
The book fair will be a journey back to Ancient Egypt overflowing with hundreds of book treasures just waiting to be discovered.
USDA provides WSOS meals
All children enrolled in the early childhood programs operated by WSOS Community Action Commission receive free meals and snacks during the time they are at the centers. These meals are made possible through U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), Child and Adult Care Food Program.
These centers are located in Bascom, Bowling Green, Clyde, Fostoria, Fremont, Genoa, Pemberville, Perrysburg, and Port Clinton.
