Lakota meets Monday
KANSAS - The Lakota Board of Education will hold its monthly meeting Monday at 7 p.m. in the staff dining room of the school.
Among the topics for discussion is a Spanish club trip to Puerto Rice and the appointment of some supplemental athletic contracts.
The meeting is open to the public.
BG board meets Tuesday
The Bowling Green Board of Education will hold its monthly meeting Tuesday in the middle school library.
The meeting starts at 5 p.m. and is open to the public.
compete at Fall Frenzy
PERRYSBURG - Two-hundred-seventy DECA students joined together at Owens Community College Sept. 26,for 2013 "Fall Frenzy."
Competing schools included Anthony Wayne, Bowling Green, Maumee, Oak Harbor, Penta Career Center, Perrysburg, Rossford, and Springfield. All schools received awards.
Competitive events included Public Relations, Parliamentary Law, and solving various case studies in areas such as, Retail Merchandising, Apparel and Accessories, Sports, Hospitality and Tourism, Restaurant Management, and Food Marketing.
Fundraiser aids Explorer Post
Perrysburg Municipal Court had a successful seminar recently with 75 attorneys in attendance.
The funds collected are used for Perrysburg Court Law and Government Explorer Post 2306 programs, including awarding scholarships to seniors, an annual banquet and potentially a trip to Columbus for state competition. All of the Explorer Post officers are students of Perrysburg High School.
Presenters included Ohio Bureau of Motor Vehicles Registrar Mike Rankin and Toledo Reinstatement Office Supervisor Diane Hayward; Perrysburg Municipal Court judicial candidates Molly Mack and Tom Mackin; and Jeff Abke, director of development for Perrysburg schools.
